Sacred Wisdom Centre is an organization created to bring affordable experiences of exceptional calibre in the arts, in the wisdom traditions and in the fields of emerging consciousness to the Guelph community. Presenters chosen provide examples of embodied courage and seasoned experience that address the unspoken longing in each of us for wisdom that respects the sacred.

Sacred Wisdom Centre helps to sustain the vital work of the presenters through promoting their CDs, DVDs, books, films, media interviews and websites.

About Barbara Susan Booth M.A., D.Min.

Barbara Susan Booth M.A., D.Min. is the founder and director of Sacred Wisdom Centre an event-planning organization she inaugurated in December 2006 with a workshop featuring Marion Woodman and Andrew Harvey. She has sponsored many prominent teachers since that time including Coleman Barks, Joanna Macy, Matthew Fox, David Darling, Norma Gentile, Drew Dellinger, Neil Douglas Klotz, Bruce Chilton, Lauren Artress, Mary Hamilton and Ann Skinner. Sacred Wisdom Centre has recently partnered with Wisdom University to provide a Canadian campus for some of the credit courses given by that university.

Barbara is a licensed psychological associate in private practice in Ontario.  She retired in 2005 from a long professional career in School Psychology in Ontario where she worked as a program leader with a multi-disciplinary team, teaching organizational development skills and focusing on  interagency partnership and innovation. In 2001 she graduated from  the University of Creation Spirituality in the Doctor of Ministry program with a dissertation on “The Emergence of the Conscious Feminine." In 2008 she completed the BodySoul Rhythms® Leadership Training Program with the Marion Woodman Foundation and now serves on the board of directors for that foundation.

Her life work has focused on promoting the love of learning, the love of creativity and love of intuitive wisdom, while gathering those to share in the deeper meaning of what is sacred.

*About the logo - The logo, the symbol for Sacred Wisdom Centre was created by acclaimed Guelph artist and potter, Goldie Sherman. This mandala design was originally produced in a blessing bowl, purchased by Barbara to honour the completion of the first sponsored workshop in December 2006. Since then, Sacred Wisdom Centre has gifted speakers with blessing bowls made by this artist and they have traveled home with presenters to Europe and throughout the US and Canada. http://goldieshermanvessels.blogspot.com/.
